Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

the only way I'll ever see the third Star Wars is if I'm drunk and I stole the DVD. And if someone will sit in front of me with silhouettes of alien robots and talk smack.

And I have much faith in Heath playing the Joker, and go! Maggie Gyllenhaal for taking away one reason to fast-forward through Batman. Could they CGI her into Batman Begins?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You walked out of The Muppet Movie?

You walked out of The Muppet Movie?

What can I say? I was a very cynical 10 year-old who wasn't buying a frog on a bicycle. My best friend walked out with me too.

You walked out of The Muppet Movie at age 10? I weep.

"That's a myth."

"A what?"

"Myth! Myth!"

"Yeth?"

Thrive to spite them

I walked out of Attack of the Clones and refuse to see the last Star Wars movie.

If I'd had a choice I would have walked out of ET, but I was there with a group from summer camp so I didn't have a choice.

It seems crazy to me, too. But I've never tried to watch it again, either.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

Okay...that Iron Man thing looked very cool.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I walked out of E.T.

I have no glowing magic in my heart.

However, I love Kermit and Company past all reason, and tear up just thinking about The Muppet Movie.

Holy crap. That looks awesome.
