Hey I forgot but someone mentioned watching the first half of Catch and Release and not really loving it. That was an odd little movie but I would recommend renting it to find out how it turns out. There were a couple of twists and turns and in the end I was really glad I'd watched it, silly cliches and all.
Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
JJ cracks me up. He puts it all in the title. Which is probably a good thing, like, as it's easier to sell.
"Monstrous" isn't the title, though. He just said so at Comic-Con. Looks like that poster is part of a series of posters with adjectives. Also looks like he wants to make something as iconic as Godzilla.
Oh. Well, there goes my point, hee!
Just got back from midnight showing of the Simpsons movie. Review consists of three ultimately predictable, but thoroughly apt words:
Best.
Movie.
Ever.
That article said Kirk hasn't been cast yet.
So...Matt Damon is NOT playing Kirk? Damn. I think that would have been AWESOME!
I saw something on SyFyPortal (I think) where Damon said that he is too old for the part, or he was told that he is too old for the part.
I don't think Matt Damon is smarmy enough. Which is a compliment? Or something.
A few days late but I got 7/10 on the movie quiz thingy.
