IESB.net reported a rumor that British actor Matthew Goode (Match Point) will play the role of Adrian Veidt/Oxymandias in Zack Snyder's Watchmen movie, joining Billy Crudup as Dr. Manhattan and Patrick Wilson as the Night Owl; Latino Review, meanwhile, reported its own rumor that Malin Ackerman will play the Silk Spectre.

Latino Review reported a rumor that Ray Stevenson (HBO's Rome) will play the tile role in an upcoming new Punisher movie, taking over the role from Thomas Jane, who played the part in a 2004 movie.

Patrick Wilson is from Angels in America, Little Children and more recently Evening. Excellent Broadway actor who's been nominated for two Tony awards and is beginning to make it big in film. Not related to Luke and Owen.

I think Crudup is a far better choice for Doctor Manhattan than Keanu.

I'll admit Crudup's not a physical match in the way, say, Michael Clarke Duncan might be. But I think getting the mood of alienation and weirdness of viewpoint will be more important to that character than physically fitting the role.
