Spike: At least give me Wesley's office since he's gone. Angel: He's not gone. He's on a leave of absence. Spike: Yeah, right. Boo-hoo. Thought he killed his bloody father. Try staking your mother when she's coming on to you! Harmony: Well…that explains a lot.

Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Sail, we just watched Reign Over Me last night. It dragged too long. The pace was slooooow. But I think the acting was all pretty good. Cheadle was awesome, as always. Sandler held his own.

vanguard of the socialist Hollywood liberal homosexualist agenda

I... really liked Music and Lyrics.

I'm ok admitting this may be a flaw in my character.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I did too. I in fact watched it twice when I had the DVD from Netflix.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I liked it too. It wasn't brilliant, but it was a perfectly servicable rom-com.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I guess I found it too predictable. But that's probably all romcoms and I have no love in my spleen for them anymore.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Huh.

Christian Bale as John Connor in Terminator 4.

Always Anti-fascist!

I liked Reign Over me. And I actually laughed a bunch at Music and Lyrics...a romantic comedy that's actually funny is big news around here.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Dana, I'll see your "huh" and raise you a "wheeeee!"

I didn't bother watching T3, but for Christian Bale, I'll reinvest myself in the franchise, *then* some.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

And I like the idea of Christian Bale as a grown-up Eddie Furlong. That works.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I like the idea of Christian Bale as a grown-up Eddie Furlong. That works.

I bet he'll do a hotter job than Eddie did.
