Thinking about it, the Alien series should get some kind of "franchise with consistently awesome character actors" award.
I wrote a whole piece once about how
Alien
could almost stand by itself as a hall of fame of seventies character actors. It just needed Warren Oates and Strother Martin and E. Emmett Kelly.
