Lorne: Back in Pylea they used to call me "sweet potato." Connor: Really. Lorne: Yeah, well, the exact translation was "fragrant tuber" but…

Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I seem to recall something about a whole TV series about the Enterprise before Pike took over. Maybe it's just a rumor.

Another great story of kids standing up to bullies:

[link]

Three Nova Scotia teens are being credited with saving an 11-year-old boy from being beaten and humiliated by a gang of nine bullies.

The trio stepped in front of a group of nine children who had lured the boy into the woods near Millwood Elementary School in Lower Sackville.

It's Lower Sackville, there's no actual "Sackville" around for it to be lower than however. There's a Sackville, New Brunswick, but that's a few hundred miles away.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

tries to resist the urge to point out that Pike wasn't the first captain of the Enterprise

Ah, yes. That's the one. The one where kids don't stand up to bullies.
