Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Mods & Francophiles Alert!

Who Are You, Polly Magoo? (1966, William Klein) will be showing on the Sundance Channel, Weds, 9/12.

This movie is only available in PAL format as an import and rarely airs. It's about the Most Mod Movie ever.

Klein also did the pop art influenced satire Mr. Freedom

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

The movie version? Seriously? Christ, it just keeps getting better and better.

Ah, he's in the chorus.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The chorus has some solo bits, though -- quartets and quintets and the like. Provided the movie isn't changed too much from the show.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

OK kiddies. If you already snuck and and watched the whole R rated gorefest you don't need to duck and run on your way out of the theatre. I'm not going to grab you and extract the film from your memories.

Halloween?

Hey, Laga, how do you post from work? Do you have a desk job at a theater so you've got 'net access handy like us other...what's a polite word for stapled-to-the-chair corporate whore?

Laga - Sep 07, 2007 9:51:53 pm PDT #1311 of 10000
You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Yeah I'm the manager mmkay? Of course a lot of the time I'm stapled to the computer I could/should be out on the floor. Mostly I'm working on something in the office and popping into b.org when I get bored, I'm on hold, I'm waiting for something to load or refresh. Ferinstance right now I'm waiting for the incredibly slow home office computer to send the report I have to fill out on the day's revenues through the tubes.

edit: oh yes it was Halloween they were sneaking out of.
