Bwah! That makes me hope someone goes into an MPAA appeals hearing with their movie and points out the percentage of pelvic thrusts compared to the number in Rocky Horror that still allowed an R rating.
Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
I think you can thrust away as long as you don't have a partner.
Oh man Jet Li and Jason Statham are whaling on each other in theatre #1 right now. I am Swoony McPantypants.
Huh. I just watched the trailer for Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem. It looks like it might ... not suck. Like it might be an okay return of the franchise.
I had no idea they were making another one.
Neither did I, until Pete called me upstairs to watch the trailer. I have this vague flicker of hope about it now.
I wish they'd do the storyline from the comix. That sounded kinda cool and a lot easier on the suspension-of-disbelief muscles.

Heh. Pete has a whole rant about that, partially fueled by him once trying to get an artwork gig on the Aliens comic title.
Just finished Slings and Arrows Season 3, which I loved, and was the perfect end to the series. I was worried that there wouldn't be any real hopefulness in the ending, but I didn't think this was that kind of show. We didn't actually need the last scene, IMO, and I'd have liked to end on the chair. Such a statement on the state of theatre: the whole series, really. And the ending, especially with New Burbage and Richard.
Oh, I loved Ellen's speech on the tv show, which would have been quite nice, apart from having been followed by gunfire and a caveman (for +5 wtf). Oh, socio-artistic commentary, how I love thee.
Did all the DVD sets have extended scenes from the plays? Because, if so, I may actually be able to justify buying them...educational and all that.
Oh, yay! The third season! Must make sure to bump Slings & Arrows to the top of my queue! Glad to hear it ended the show well. I must thank whomever recc'd this series (Thank you!) when I was looking for good Paul Gross material (Men with Brooms turned me off from picking them at random myself).
