"Now I'm Following You" isn't listed on the sondheim.com site, nor have I ever heard it. It's also not on Sondheim at the Movies, which includes a couple songs he wrote for "The Birdcage".

Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Damn.
crosses day off
It was written by other guys. A couple of Paleys and some other guys.
There's a fun version of "Sooner or Later" on the Carnegie Hall Tribute to Sondheim CD from the early '90s.
And Liza Minelli doing "Back in Business". And "Live Alone and Like It" in a medley. They're all really great songs (whereas one of the ones he wrote for "The Birdcage" is possibly the cheesiest thing you've ever heard).
Yay, thanks for the suggestions! I got the three Kar Wei films, which I'll watch tonight. Perhaps my mind will be blown.
SA, have you seen any of Tony Jaa's movies? Fighty fighty Muay Thai!
I haven't! Apparently I am remiss in my movie watching. Which, really, isn't a surprise. I haven't had a university library to pillage in a year or so. Any particular titles I should look for?
I think I might do a Jackie Chan night next.
Love that medley of "Live Alone," "The Girls Upstairs," and "Love I Hear"!! That's up there on my favorite tracks on that CD, along with Dorothy Loudon doing "Losing My Mind/You Can Drive A Person Crazy" and Jerry Hadley singing "Johanna," which is just stunningly beautiful.

Heh. I find that completely unlistenable and always skip it.

Yeah. I couldn't believe it when the news broke about his suicide attempt and death. I wasn't very familiar with him, but it was so sad.

Really? I find it hysterical, and since it's right in my range, I always sing along.
I also love "Green Finch and Linnet Bird," but just mouth the words since there's no way in hell I'll get anywhere near those notes. The final note in that song is worth the price of the double-CD, IMO.
The Sondheim festival that ChiKat and I went to last summer did a similar tribute concert at the end of the day that included a wonderful version of "Weekend in the Country," an even faster version of "Not Getting Married Today" than Madeline Kahn did on the CD, and a beautiful "Sunday" to conclude the concert.

Ong-bak and Tom yum goong (aka The Protector). Tony Jaa is tiny crazy bendy fierce. Kind of like Nightwing.
I hated Tom Yum Goong. Well, at least the half we watched.
