Buffista Movies 6: lies and videotape
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

2046. Not Korean though, but yes, I think that's what she's talking about.
Man, *thank you*. That's been driving me crazy for three days.
Yes! It is available at the library. And apparently Chinese.
It's also listed on IMDB as produced in 2004, so I was having a very "neither holy nor Roman nor an empire" moment.
And apparently Chinese.
It's a Wong Kar Wei movie - aren't you familiar with his work? Hong Kong.
Bruce Campbell would be a weird take on Beorn, if Sam Raimi (pleasegodno) made The Hobbit.
He's not quite right for Bard the Bowman. If it has to be a really tiny, almost cameo part, maybe the Goblin King?
He is used to working in prosthetics.
Though the thought of a Xenafied The Hobbit after being spoiled by Peter Jackson's movies makes me want to weep.
Actually, BC looks like Elrond in the Rankin-Bass version.
Bruce Campbell as Elrond...hee!

No--at least not by name. I'm contemplating renting out the foreign film section of the library three films at a time. Just for something to do.
Is anyone watching LOTRx3 on TNT this weekend? I think I'd rather just get them from the library and watch them sans commercials. Then again, intermittent breaks to a twelve hour set of films might be the ticket.
