It's a bottle-service type place, in the east village, where that kind of thing Should Not Be.

I don't think I know what that means...(bottle service means you byo and they charge you a fee for corking it, right?)

is that just considered the hight of tacky there?

Here I don't know that there are any places that charge a corking fee. Most places here are only BYO in the first few months after opening until they get their liquour license.

Which Sara works there? It's Sara N, isn't it? Because I think that the other Sarah was most recently back in Jamaica.

I think so, yeah.

I don't mind Lauren. I do think that Anya's the better dancer but for some reason the public doesn't seem to like her and she winds up in the bottom three every week.

The thing about dancers like Hok and Cedric is that if they're going to continue to put these "unique" dancers through week after week, I think they need to change up the partners every week. It's not fair to the girls they're partnered with to be penalized every week because they have a partner that isn't diversified. Poor Shauna went home BEFORE Cedric and she probably wouldn't have even been in danger had it not been for Cedric's performances. Same thing with Jaimie.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

I love Sabra and Dominic! I'm so sad that when it comes down to the end, only one person can win. Plus, they split the couples up next week and give them new partners. I'm so bummed.

Yeah, but at this point having the same partner for this duration of time is totally an unfair advantage. Working that intensely with someone for, what, six or seven weeks now? Gives you an edge over people like Sara and Pasha, or Danny with his new partner, that other longstanding pairs would outshine.

That said, I am disappointed that this was the last week that we get to see Sabra and Dominic dance together, because I do think they were brilliant. I'm interested, though, to

see how Lacey and Kameron do apart--I am kind of wondering is Lacey is just outshining Kam generally, or if he is letting her outshine him, which for me would be different to the standard of his dancing.

I agree.

Though with Danny and Anya, I think they were in the bottom three because of Danny, not because of Anya. It was a damn shame they were in the bottom three with that beautiful foxtrot--for the first time they were both so on, with the personality and their mutual astonishing technique.

Maybe. Although that's just another reason that they should switch up partners every week. Or, they could leave the partnering how it is, but let people vote for individual dancers instead of pairs. You could still judge the individuals on their partnering skills and such, but if one person is horrible and the other great, at least it would be fairer to the great person.

Nigel is just not a good spokesperson for the judges. Not because he's wrong, but because of the tone of his voice. I'm defensive that way.

I so agree with this, but then, Nigel bugs me.

Regarding Anya, I personally think that at least part of the reason she didn't make it farther is because of her interviews. Most of the interviews for most of the dancers are pretty crappy. (The thing I like most about my partner is he/she is cute! Puh-lease.) But hers have been really annoying to me. When I just look at her dance, it's lovely, but it's hard for me to push away the annoyance I have going into the dance.

Though I totally think Cat was seriously when she was all "omg I love your costumes!"
