Hee, no, it was a commercial for Moutain Dew. It had a ferret dressed up like something from the Chainsaw Massacres and something about ferrets attacking people more than bears (I think it was bears) do.
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
NOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Just watched SYTYCD and I am distraught that Hok is gone. He was my favorite! but, I knew it was going to happen. He was VERY good at what he did, but sometimes had a hard time branching out. He was never bad, just sometimes wasn't as good as the others. *sigh* now, I have to find a new favorite.
SYTYCD:
Gregory Hines. That dude could dance.
I was thinking the EXACT.SAME.THING.
I love Gregory Hines. For the longest time, White Nights was my favorite movie. Looking back, I'm pretty sure it wasn't the acting. Or plot. Or direction. Um.
This was the first ep in a while that I actually agreed with who they sent home. Hok is awesome, but even he expected it.
I like Neil. A lot. And I even like Lauren.
Neil's like a gymnast with rhythm half the time. But cute.
I was very impressed with myself that I watched both World Series of Pop Culture and SYTYCD, both on from 9 to 10, and was done with both of them by about 10:15. Re: WSPC, all I can say is: Damn kids.

Try The Cotton Club instead. You'll be much happier, I promise.

I see.

He seems sort of dim to me -- like a sweet, stupid puppy that can leap onto the dinner table from a standing start. (Come to think of it, that description is very accurate for the poodle my parents had. Maybe that's why I don't completely hate him.)
I was sorry to see Anya go, but sorrier to see Lauren stay. I'll miss Hok, a lot. It was inevitable that he'd get sent home eventually, but he really deserved to go out with better than the judges gave him on Wednesday night.
I felt sorry for Hok. They were getting into a Cedric vibe and it was irritating me. Nigel is just not a good spokesperson for the judges. Not because he's wrong, but because of the tone of his voice. I'm defensive that way.
SYTYCD: I had been hoping for Lauren and Kameron, but I can't say that I'm sad to see Anya go. She's just never hit it out of the ballpark for me and her solos really show her limitations.
I thought Neil and Lauren's solos were much better than previously. I think if Hok and Neil had each danced their last solo, Hok might have stayed.
Anyone know what's up with Gawker's comment on the "horrible 'restaurant' Boucarou" where one of the Sara's works?
