I did like that cake challenge on Next Food Network Star. Then again, I LOVE Ace of Cakes. I could never make any of that stuff, but I bet I could do at least as well as . . . Rory, was it? With the Texas sunrise cake with all the layers of green, red and yellow goo. That was a hot mess.

Rory's cake was absolutely awful. The design (or lack thereof) made it look as if the middle tier had slid backward, leaving an oozing icing trail.

I just watched the new show from former While You were Out designer Chayse Dacoda. It's called something like "We can't get it together" and it's kind of like Merge or Designing for the Sexes. Pretty nice. Also very nice to see her do something that wasn't one of the theme rooms that WYWO loved so much.
