I just think it's rather odd that a nation that prides itself on its virility should feel compelled to strap on forty pounds of protective gear just in order to play rugby.

True. . . she will only cook "Indian" but unfortunately she cannot actually cook "Indian." She'll be gone next, right?

Stephanie (of Top Chef)'s first post TC gig is sold out!

And The Chicagoist interviews Stephanie and An interview with Camille Becerra and Nikki Cascone - two former TC Cheftestants.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

It did kind of crack me up when they were like, "Look, if you had pulled that stunt after you got hired, you'd totally get canned, but we don't have anyone Indian on Food Network, so we'll give you another shot."

Well, that and losing your shit with your potential bosses on a reality competition show = woot, ratings! Losing your shit to your actual bosses in a real meeting, nsm.

As much as I would love to see an Indian cooking show on FN, I don't think NFNS is the right venue to audtion for it, just because so many of the challenges are time-based, and most Indian food takes a really long time to prepare. The best Indian cook in the world isn't going to make a good biryani in under 45 minutes without defying the laws of physics. [eta: And she's far from being the best Indian cook in the world. Hell, I could probably do better. I make a mean rogan josh.]

"We have trust issues." Mylar

Yay. I think Shane did some really nice group routines last year (the one where Sabra was the wind and blew everyone else away - and the Matrix routine definitely grew on me). I was not a huge fan of his partner routines last year. He seemed to be running a little bit on empty. But maybe being on ABDC has re-energized him.

I would love to have JC be a guest judge on SYTYCD!

For the record, I would like to state that I love Lee Ann and think she is BAD ASS.

That is all.
