ITA Scrappy. This season has been AWESOME with the blindsides.
Poor Alexis, we hardly knew ye.
And poor James, having to show up in the jury carrying his IV!
Has the environment gotten more dangerous, or have the medics gotten more strict?

While I haven't really enjoyed the season, these last few tribal councils have been AWESOME.

I think there have been way more physical challenges (and IMO they haven't been fun to watch, which is one reason that I was pretty bored by this season). Also, I think that they should just treat them right away with bandages and Cipro (or whatever), instead of making them tough it out. I know they are not really out in the wild, "surviving".
Yeah, Jonathan's injury might not have been fixable (though *preventable* is another story) but I think a little freer hand with the antibiotics might have saved James.

Absolutely. They already get free sunscreen, why not free bandaids? The whole show could be sponsored by Nexcare and the makers of Neosporin!

I read over at TWOP that there was more rain than they expected and a lot of accidents. Not just the contestants but it seems there's been huge turnover with the crew due to the same thing.
did you say that was from Ted's blog?
(Because I remembered the quote - but wasn't sure where I'd remembered it - here, or WX or TWOP.)
What Markwise has to say about last week's elimination challenge:
An Entree for 4 people with a $10 budget--I actually asked if we could shop at a bodega as opposed to Wholefoods just to give us a fighting chance, but no luck. I suggest we rename Wholefoods- "Wholepaycheck"; simply because it's an expensive place to shop and unless I win the lottery, I will continue to shop at my local green market.
A vegetable curry is my go-to for a cheap and easy-to-make meal. I love that dish and stand by it. The judges commented on lack of protein, but the truth is the rice counteracts the lack of vegetable protein as it contains essential amino acids, and thereby creating a complete meal.
Tom stated that I didn’t spend my money wisely at Wholefoods. Well the truth is that the only ingredients not included in my $10 was salt and a cup of rice.I felt the other competitors relied heavily on the ingredients that were supplied in the kitchen and their dishes did not reflect a meal for $10.
just to give us a fighting chance
I get what he's saying (obviously, since I said mostly the same thing when it first aired) but this is a bit disingenuous - they all had the same $10 to spend at the same store. So I'm not sure what "fighting chance" he's asking for.

Ah, okay. But still - he knew what was in the pantry and chose not to take advantage of it. I'm not sure that's Tom's fault, you know?]

exactly.
you know, I would love to know what's in the pantry? Sometimes I see them not doing stuff or buying stuff, and I wonder if it's pantry related.
