So I watched the first cooking bit on Hell's Kitchen...and promptly deleted the episode and the series pass from my DVR. Jesus - I thought they might have learned from last year's freak show, but no. Apparently they want the freak show (I know, I know - it's Fox, but I would have thought GR would have SOME input) and I'm done. Ramsay's ranting is starting to take on a self-loathing "what did I sign on for" quality and it's just not fun anymore.
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own

Hell's Kitchen -
Okay, I watched this before AI so I'm about 2 hours behind. HK was kind of trashy and bad, but I laughed until tears poured down my face over the hen in a pumpkin. OMG, that was the definition of a hot mess.
I'm trying to wait to post until the end because I feel like I'm spamming the thread every Tuesday . . .
Please keep on with the spamming!
Thought AI was going to be the usual twenty minutes...forgot it was Dolly so I'd have to watch more than just the performances. So much love.
Brooke, my nemesis: Jolene's lyrics could not be more clear. Seriously. Same with "I'll be watching you." So why did you turn both into something poppy and boppy? I hate your 37-year-old Mormobot ass even more than the other suckfests.
So much this. Jesus.
Ramiele is going home, I think - most lackluster of the bunch. I think D. Cook did well with Little Sparrow, which I love. D.A. brang it pretty well too. "I Will Always Love You", seriously? She's got the stink of desperation on her - I think she knows anything less will send her home, so she's got to go for the Hail Mary.
Oh Dolly. So much love. There is just not an ounce of pretension or fakery about her (except the eyelashes!). How can you not just adore her?

Yeah, actually. I watch on tape delay and like to check in every few performances or so and see your comments as the show aired. So I say go for it.

What I love about her is that everything about her is fake on the outside (big ol' lesbian, too), but she still comes across as completely authentic.
Dolly is a lesbian?
Aww, enablers. I love, y'all.
I also did not no that Dolly was a lesbian. I DID know, however, that she is made of awesome. I wonder if she'll sing something off her new album tomorrow.
Crap. Does that mean I'm going to have to watch tomorrow? (My AI is like the John H Natter Diet. I watch the performances, the wrap up with the clips at the end, and if I'm around, the end of the results show to see who's gone. 20-25 minutes per week, tops. Dolly is throwing this all the hell out of whack.)
Well, who can prove who and who isn't gay. I shouldn't be spreading rumors. But there's been rumors about her and her friend Judy for a long time, rumors she doesn't really dispel by saying she fantasizes about women. She's been married to the same man for forty years though.
Okay, I'm officially annoyed with Gordon Ramsay. He's finally opening an LA restaurant (on my corner, no less) but he's sticking me with one of his Hell's Kitchen people as Executive Chef?
I am bitterly disappointed. Say it ain't so, Go.
