Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

I loved the blue face dress, the red and black short dress and the beige and black (is that one of the hair dresses?) short dress (although I do think that one could have been fitted more in the underarm for a cleaner look.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Blue face dress = worn by my girl Bianca from ANTM!

And yeah, Lisa, that was baaaad.

Punishingly Intricate

Oh, I knew she looked familiar!

And yeah, Lisa, that was baaaad.

Seriously! Homeless teens are the hottest thing in accessories this Spring!

I was dying for there to be a HUGE twist where one of the Top Modelers was sent packing and replaced with one of the homeless girls.

Ha ha ha! "All of the homeless girls outshine you in this picture... and that's why one of them of them will be replacing you in the loft."

It somehow seems a little pat that "at the last minute," they added a girl to the cast, and then in the next episode, that girl decided to leave.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I also find Kristy's vocals mediocre at best and her squats and wide-legged stances, to borrow a Simon phrase, "ghastly."

I still don't get how she stayed on from last week.

PR:

I'm bummed. Human hair or not, I loved what Chris showed, and I realized that I'm always *interested* in what he's going to do. Rami usually delivers something well-constructed and flawless, but he's never made anything that blew me away. I just can't get excited about him.

Exactly. Rami's collections was fine, but I really wanted to see the rest of what Chris made.

I honestly wasn't sure where the ick came from with the hair. The best wigs are made from donated human hair, yes? And you wear that right on your head.

I didn't get it either. From the way they talked you'd have thought the dresses were made with human skulls.

My favorite dress of all, from anyone, may actually be this one, from Elisa's second-chance mini-collection.

I was quite surprised with my favorites from the mini-collections: Rami and Elisa.

Art Crawl!!!

Sarah Jessica Parker and Magical Elves teaming up to do a PR/TC type show about artists:

Potential skein would pit a dozen aspiring artists against one another, following the group as they attempt to produce various kinds of artwork -- from painting and photography to sculpting and industrial design. Pieces would be rated by a panel of judges, as well as by the contestants themselves.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

oh, that's a freaking disaster. WAY too subjective. Clothing is subjective, but there are some objective criteria (i.e. does it fit, is it made well, can it be worn comfortably) Art is truly in the eye of the beholder.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

::sits in Vortex's corner::

It doesn't even sound like a potentially entertaining trainwreck, just a big pile of awful.

Art Crawl!!!

Huh. Interesting. I find PR sufficiently like art school to think it could work.
