As we finished watching last night I asked my 16 y.o. if she would wear Victorya's dress and she said "not in a million years!" I asked if any of her friends would and she said "as a joke". Kevin's dress came across to me as too casual for prom, but it wasn't as awful as Christian's was.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

My Tivo cut out just before they announced who was auf'ed. I gather it was Kevin? I can live with that.

Christian's dress was a mess but Ricky's was soooo boring AND a mess. I just don't get why he isn't gone yet! so irritating.

I didn't mind his dress that much, but I agree that he should be gone already.

I think that they had a good point about the color, though. Not very prom-y. I love Rami's stuff, but he has a very narrow point of view.

I thought the color was off too. It also might be that the green wasn't quite right for his model--hard to tell on screen. But green is really unforgiving if it doesn't go with your coloring.

Mostly I thought it showed that the limitations of his style.

Art Crawl!!!

I really think that Rami was taking advantage of the fact that he had immunity to just do whatever he wanted and I'm happy that the result was that he wound up in the bottom . . . uh five or six.

Project Rungay are pretty incensed about the auffing.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, my minion greeted me this morning with, "Are you so upset about Kevin?!?" But I hadn't actually watched the show yet! Oops. It's just as well, I guess, since Bravo didn't alert the DVR that the show was running over..... Anyway, I'm not that upset about Kevin.

Here's what I did like: they set up the challenge to succeed. They gave the designers a lot of money and plenty of time, both for sewing and with the models. So that was good.

Prom dress fashion report - real life reality.

Well, Victorya's dress would have been totally shunned by the girls I took prom dress shopping today, while both Chris and Sweetpea's would have had a look and a try on. Even Rami's, with a long skirt, would have at least gotten a consideration.

The first place we hit specialized in shiney, beaded, overdone and overpriced dresses. There wasn't a single dress that would not have needed alterations between the dresses my two girls tried and none of the other girls we saw in the shop. Crazy industry.

We then went to David's Bridal, but none of those dresses sparked any interest. The looks were more generic bridesmaid stuff.

Then we hit the mall and looked at a lot of places there. The girls favored bright colors with added details - more along the line of beading than lace. K-Bug heavily considered a pink dress that had a shear panel over the bust and up to the neck (more halter-ish than the thing on Victorya's thing). Then she tried on a black dress that a slight draping and an open back - and that was it. We bought it today.

We saw lots of short dresses mixed in with the long, but didn't see anyone try on the shorter ones. Lots of peek-a-boo holes and lots of embellishments. We also saw more shiny animal prints than anyone would expect.

I was very happy with what K-Bug chose, both in look and in price.

Thanks for the report from the field!

I'm re-watching the Hershey's ep, and I'm just so happy that Chris March got brought back. (I do still hope the offer Jack a spot next season.) He's so funny and awesome.

yes, I hope that they do as well, I thought that he was very talented. And I'm also really happy that Chris is back. He seems to have learned from his mistakes.

Did Phil say that walking on the jagged rocks "allegedly" reduces stress? Ha.
