It seems Paulina was "discovered" in 1980.

Sometimes, I just love the internet.

Thrive to spite them

I remember Paulina because she wrote a story book about a roach. I think she was on MTV a bit during the early 90s.

I was rooting for her on Dancing with the Stars.

Why can't she be the new judge on ANTM? That would rock.

too much competition for Tyra. Iman is FIERCE.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

PR US had Iman, too. She wore Danny V.'s blue dress to some awards show. I love Iman. Why can't she be the new judge on ANTM? That would rock.

I pointed her out in all her fierce awesomeness to Emmett while watching PR last week. He said, "Meh." I said, "She's David Bowie's wife." He said, "Beh?" Hec said, "David Bowie from the season finale of Venture Brothers." Emmett said, "WOW" and was thereafter riveted by the woman fierce enough to be worthy of a cartoon badass like David Bowie.

Kimora was a supermodel at, what, 14-15? They like em young, so I can totally see Paulina as a super model in the early 80s.

I thought back then they didn't really do the super-young supermodel thing. If that is her age, now I'm a bit more skeeved by the fact she was still in her teens when she met her now-husband.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

Obviously, Emmett is being spoiled for the average teenage girl.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

(I was still in my teens when I met my now-husband. I tease my friends' children and horrify their parents by pointing this out to them when they hit the age when I met the SO.)

I caught up on PR. Looks to be a fun season, although I was already all predicting everyone's fatal flaws. (Can't construct, can't break out of costume/lingerie background, scared to leave history of executing someone else's designs, completely whacko.) It'll be fun to see what predictions pan out.

Punishingly Intricate

Has there been anyone else (aside from ...the woman who was auf'ed first) so far that's had the poor construction issue come up? I'm not remembering.
