Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own

Oh, you know what my favorite thing was on the Top Chef reunion show? Dale saying "I always wanted a montage..." Cute.
I loved that! It was the perfect thing to say!
And Jenah makes a really bad blonde, and why does that weave look so funky when she's had it for a minute?
Hell yeah! There was something about the hair that just made her face look weirdly colored, and that's not right.
And I did think Ambreal looked nice with her natural hair, but the makeover wasn't TERRIBLE, at least.
And I, too, was sad Victoria went home. She was really pretty, and even if annoying, at least memorable, y'know? Her picture this week was meh, but so were most of them. And last weeks' rock climbing picture was awesome, I thought--reminded me of Twiggy, actually, with the big wide eyes!
I thought Bianca handled the head shaving really well, which I was not expecting
Yes--she cried, but she didn't bitch and moan, she didn't wail, and she didn't say "I hate it and I wish I'd never gone on this show", even in interviews...or at least, not that they showed us. I think they really WANTED her to be more drama, though. They like that. Miss Jay was practically taunting her.
I don't particularily like Ebony or Lisa--they just seem random to me. Jenah looks broke down, somehow--she might take good pictures, but the makeover didn't help the in person look. Chantal makes me want to smack her.
I like Ambreal, I think Saleisha might be saveable, I like Heather, I like Janet....and if there are other girls, I've forgotten them.
I loved Dale's montage remark too!
I'm watching Next Iron Chef and you know - it brings in more of the wackiness of the original Japanese Iron Chef.

I finally saw this and I agree. It's exactly what I thought when they announced the dessert challenge. My only problem is that none of the contestents really strike me as someone I'd want to see on Iron Chef; I'm not sure why.

Not with that weave! Really, what was Tyra thinking? A straight up bowl cut? She looks like Diana Ross from the last scene in Mahogony where she's finally debuting her crazy Japanese Kabuki dress and she's walking down the runway and all the people are clapping and then she realizes that Billy Dee was right and success IS nothing without someone you love to share it with. And yes, I may have seen that movie a million too many times, but Saliesha's hair looks like that crazy wig Diana was rocking in that scene.
Survivor: I actively hated a lot fewer people last night, so that's good. Denise speaks (and she was pretty darn adorable). Still liking Frosti and Todd was better. Thought James telling Dave not to hug him was hi-larious. Also, noticed that Erik is very pretty, which made the night much better. Still not the best season for me.
I appreciate the trend of Survivor continuing to kick off annoying people. Maybe that's why the nice people have gotten less screentime, because they gotta get in as much footage of the dickweeds as possible. Usually I hate when they gang up against someone, but this time, they've been right!
I am disappointed that no one acknowledged how well Sherea does in the challenges. I think for a lot of reasons the tribe made the right boot, however.

Agreed. She may be useless around camp, but she has been consistently solid in challenges.
Not surprised at the lack of acknowledgement though. They seem to be a fairly terrible tribe pretty much made up of people designed to annoy me. Delusional and bossy (Dave), lazy and stank attitude (Sherea), bossy and convinced of own awesomeness despite any real evidence of said awesomeness (Pei-Gee) and the other one whose name I still do not even know (although props to her for getting two jars last night). I'd only take Frosti (who I enjoy in spite of the ridiculous name) and Erik because of the pretty.

Nobody ever does at TC, though, because the only reason you're there talking to Jeff at all is because you lost the last challenge. So I can see why "I save my energy for challenges" isn't the most compelling argument at that time.
