Yeah, Padma/CJ were totally flirting.
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
I think the Louise Brooks look needs to be a tiny bit shorter, or less thick or something. She looks like Tootie.
TOTALLY!!! ha
Bald Bianca is much prettier than be-wigged Bianca. And, I think, maybe not as much of a bitch. For now.
TC: "They Cook. We Dish." interviews Hung, Dallas Star-Telegram interview with Casey, Chicago-ist blogs the TC Finale, And there is going to be a TC Miami Holiday special.
And The Restaurant Guys interviewed Hung on their podcast.
I watched Kitchen Nightmares rather than Criminal Minds 'cause I thought it would be less scary. I was wrong.

So, so true. She looked busted. As did Chantal with the crazy thick blonde bangs. And Jenah makes a really bad blonde, and why does that weave look so funky when she's had it for a minute? Somebody needs to teach that girl how to use a head scarf, sleep cap, something. I wish that they hadn't given Lisa that particular cut. I think she could totally carry off short hair, but agree with her that this cut makes her look like a poodle.
On a positive note, I think only one girl's weave looks like doll hair this year.
Ebony, no? And what the hell did she use to stick that wig to her head, crazy glue? That looked seriously painful.
The only two makeovers I liked last night were Bianca's (she looked beautiful bald) and Heather's (because they didn't do anything to her). Sara's was just meh. And Ambreal looked so much better with her own, natural hair. (And BTW, Tyra with the speech to Bianca about embracing her new look and her natural, regal, black beauty? Please. Tyra hasn't been weave-free in years and she would cut a fool if they tried to take it from her. Practice what you preach first, Ty-ty.)
I only caught bits and pieces of the makeovers, but I saw Bianca quietly crying as they cut off all her hair. With her cheekbones, she should look stunning. Not to mention getting rid of that nasty pink (or whatever) hair. And the wig should help her get through the growing-out phase.
Bianca was bummed out for a day or two, but definitely bounced back.
I thought Bianca handled the head shaving really well, which I was not expecting. I also think the wig is tired. She wore it to panel and it looked . . . not good.
As for Ms. Jay, is the mini-fro gonna be his thing this year? I mean, he doesn't have the ruffles or the flowers, so is he gonna let the fro grow an inch for each girl eliminated? Because that's the only way that I could get behind the abomination that is his current -do. It's soooooo bad.
I was sad to see Victoria go because I actually thought she was one of the more model-esque girls in the group. And she took good photos (Even with the wrinkly neck, I thought the face was interesting) I also adored that she sassed Twiggy, because every week with her on just reminds me how useless she is as a judge and miss the crazy that was Janice all the more. But when it got down to her and Saleisha, I knew she'd be going.
The wrinkly neck thing with Victoria sort of made me crazy -- because if they'd intended to keep her, they would have airbrushed those wrinkles out.
I noted that all of the women at panel made a point of saying how much they loved their makeovers. So they've learned that, at least, from prior seasons.
Bianca looked great with her head shaved.
Dallas Star-Telegram interview with Casey,
That's actually the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. We have the Morning News. I didn't know she was at Shinsei. That's not far from me.
