Wait, first Mel and Sue, and now Mary? So the only person who'll carry over to Channel 4 version of The Great British Bake Off is Paul Hollywood? [link]
This is not gonna turn out well is it.

Yes, my twitter timeline is full of people expressing shock that the one person to remain with the show is Paul. Shocked, I tell you.
Let's face it, I'll probably still watch it next season. But I'll grumble about it all the way.
Paul Hollywood isn't terrible as a judge but of the 4 he's the one who seems most interchangeable.
Paul is definitely my least favorite part of GBBO.
Although, since we're well behind the British series, I hope to see some more of the four of them. Meanwhile, I'm watching the Paul and Mary series of "master classes" in which they show the proper way to make some of the challenges they set the contestants (and Paul's explanation of why to leave baguettes to rise on cloth with raised bits between made something clear).
Casper HAAAAAAAAAATES Paul Hollywood. It's pretty funny. (She's not wrong; he's a condescending and mildly sexist asshole in my opinion.)
I understand that Ladies of Certain Age in England find Paul quite dishy, but he does nothing for me. I also find him condescending.
Because he is.
He's attitude totally takes away from anything his looks bring to the table.
PR -- knits? Seriously I saw that was wrong. Also Id idn't watch the whole thing because I was watching Pitch so I only saw the top and bottom looks.
Also I realized almost all the last 1/2 hour is judging and I kind of like that because you get to hear more expanded comments. Although tonight it meant I had to hear more of Nina Garcia. Frankly I think that PR could do with a judging overhaul. Trade Zac Posen and Nina Garcia for others and keep Heidi and Tim.
