Because books.

SYTYCD: Top 20! I feel like some of them didn't actually get a lot of screen time tonight, so I'm looking forward to next week.

Twitch is so wonderful. Only guy I can think of who could wear a polo shirt and a bow tie and still be hot as hell.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I already have a favorite -- Marquete (sp?) all the way! His smile is magic!

Because books.

I love Marquette, however it's spelled, but I also love Ricky and the tappers.

I hate the entirety of Vegas week plus Top 20 reveal all going down in one night. Haaaateee!

Also, Tara Lipinski is no Miss Debbie Allen substitute. No how. No way. I only enjoy her when Johnny Weir comes along as part of the package.

I am in love with Ricky. His final solo was everything. And I also preferred him with a little chin scruff, but I'll take him any way I can get him. I also greatly enjoy Marcquet (although really, parents? You couldn't just spell it Marquette?) and I appreciated the gracious way he dealt with his partner assuming that he was a hip hop kid since, you know, he's black. Eyes rolling forever. In general, I like that so many ballroom kids made it through. Tanisha is a fire cracker and cross trained to the heavens. I even like Nick (and his buddy Rudy) despite being already tired of the back story there. And I will like Serge once he gets rid of the hair because no. I was happy to see that they did not take Landon because he was not pleasing to the eye and also a pandered to the camera and was a face puller par excellence. Get rid of the bowl cut and maybe we will talk.

Glad that girl tapper made it through. I could kind of take or leave boy tapper. He's no Aaron is what I'm saying. I'm not excited by any of the hip hop kids who made it through. Nor am I over the moon about the contempo girls. The blonde who Nigel is lusting after (Jessica?) is the same as every blonde he ever lusts after on this show. And there is just nothing memorable about Bridget and her dead daddy dancing. I will be pulling for our ballerinas. They bring the fierceness.

I either don't remember or don't care about any of the rest of the Top 20. I was heartbroken that they cut the black boy with the dreads. He was gorgeous. Miss Debbie Allen would never have let it go down like that.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm a little bummed about Jaja not making it -- She was pretty good in ballroom, and that's one style more than many of the male hip-hop dancers!

And Johnny Waacks will literally never make it to the show, no matter how good he is at how many styles. NIGEL.

Yeah, I was impressed by Jaja in ballroom, and sad she didn't make it.

Amen to both. I would pay cash money to see like, Vegas week in real time.

And Johnny Waacks will literally never make it to the show, no matter how good he is at how many styles. NIGEL.

The wacking is a little weird. But he also seemed to be really good at the other stuff. Stupid Nigel. Stupid homophobia and weird concepts of masculinity. Hrmph.

Wish they'd actually FOCUSED on a few of the top 20 during the vegas week stuff--I have no idea who most of them are. And while Malena was amazing in her style, I didn't get the impression that she killed it in any of the others, so I am skeptical.

I was HIGHLY amused by the Prima Ballerina chick being so unimpressed by EVERYONE. Damn.

Prima ballerina seemed like she maybe didn't know what this show was about and then when she got there and saw how many of the kids weren't classically trained she turned the haterade on everyone. I quite enjoyed it.

Malena was wholly unimpressive out of her style. She also seems old given the composition of the rest of the group, so it will be interesting to see how that plays out. I'm trying to figure out who she might partner well with and I can only come up with Serge, and they'd never pair two ballroom kids together at the outset. Maybe that hip hop kid who couldn't do the show last year because he got injured right before the premiere? The one who was in JaJa's crew. He might work. Anybody else, probably not.

I was blown away by Johnny Waacks but I agree that there is no way that Nigel would ever put him on the show.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Watching Heroes of Cosplay. How do you do all that work and not have extra batteries?

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Wish they'd actually FOCUSED on a few of the top 20 during the vegas week stuff--I have no idea who most of them are.

Totally. Who are these people? I guess I will find out next week. Other than Ricky who is glorious and Marcquet who seems delightful (although anytime he is on screen I just keep trying to remember who he reminds me of, it is driving me nuts that he looks so familiar). Oh, I do like the tappers, especially after their ballroom round, but I'm biased towards that style. Everyone else is kind of a blur.

Disappointed about Jaja and Johnny Waacks - they both were impressive out of their styles, I thought. It would have been fun to see what they could do on the show.

Sonya Tayeh is fucking amazing. That is all.
