"We have trust issues." Mylar

I was so sad to lose Sisaundra. She's mighty mighty. But is wasn't surprised to lose her. Very old fashioned. In the last couple of weeks, she's sung Tina Turner, New York State of Mind, Aretha and Steve Perry. That's not gonna get the tweens voting. Amazing voice, though.

Jake and Kristen could've both gone home, although I like Kristen much more than Jake, I think Kat, Delvin and Audra are better singers than both of them. Glad Kat stayed over Delvin. I Believe I Can Fly? No. Never.

No. Never.

It's really an unforgivable crime.

Also is this when I say I like the Tweet Save in theory, but it does piss me off that it excludes the West Coast from voting. (I assume Central gets it live, just one hour earlier, no?)

What pisses me off is that the show won't admit that's what is happening and Carson keeps talking about America saving people.

West coast is America too, damn it.

Re Delvin, I had absolutely no knowledge of that song before he sang it. That seems like it is a good thing.

It's from the soundtrack of that Michael Jordan-Bugs Bunny classic, Space Jam.

And, if that's not bad enough, it's a R. Kelly song.

And I can't believe you don't know it, because, despite how awful it is, I feel like it's sung on every one of these singing competitions at some point.

Wow, the Wikipedia page is very detailed. Among other covers:

American Idol candidates Katharine McPhee, Anwar Robinson, Aaron Kelly, Curtis Finch Jr., and Jacob Lusk all performed the song in different seasons of the TV show.

This song also appeared on the first American season of The X Factor, where R. Kelly performed "I Believe I Can Fly" for the first time as a duet with the eventual winner of the show Melanie Amaro.

The song was covered by Tim Olstad on season 3 of the X-Factor.

This song was also performed on The Voice as the last solo song for the second season's winner Jermaine Paul.

The song was covered by Delvin Choice on season 6 of The Voice.

American musical TV series Glee, performed a version of the song in episode fourteen of season three, "On My Way" (aired on February 21, 2012). It is a mash-up track with the song "Fly" by Nicki Minaj featuring Rihanna.

The Voice and Glee are the only ones of those I watch, and Glee is only sporadic, so I am not that surprised.

Wait, "I Believe I Can Fly," is from Space Jam?? Although I cannot imagine having lived in the US for the last 25 years and avoided hearing that song.
