I'm with Brenda. Wouldn't have thought it at the beginning but I just don't feel like Travis and Nicole are good racers. Tim surprised me last episode with how normal and yet accepting of Marie he was. It was interesting.

Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own

Restaurant wars! Jesus Mary and Joseph, what a disaster at Found. I am glad Sarah went home, since it seemed obvious the majority of the chaos was due to her not training the wait staff properly. Leaving the judges' table without explaining the food! The attitude! I got the sense that Shirley and Nina's dishes were almost as good as Nicholas' (and probably better than most other dishes at Fin) and kinda cracked up at how they just kept their heads down and cooked their food, away the clusterfuck doing a twister around their heads.
Fine, Travis. I will try to forget the creepy yellow fever thing from a few episodes back, since you clearly knew what you were doing being FoH.

Amen (so to speak). Must make the obvious joke and say they should have been "Lost" instead.

I got to go along with the judges and say that was the best FoH I've seen ofor Restaurant Wars. Or at least the best that also did a solid by the kitchen in the process.
Re: Found -- as soon as they spent all their time squabbling over décor and dishes and reached the market still without having decided upon a menu, I knew they were a disaster waiting to happen.
Found had too many leaders, not any followers.
Fin had a lot less ego all around that let them work with each other.
For the record, I was horrified to see a king cake on display in JULY. (OMG, king cake season starts a month from tomorrow!)
ETA: I've been to the Foundry recently, when I went to an Emeril Lagasse fundraiser called Boudin, Bourbon and Beer. It's on Tchopitoulas in the Warehouse District about equidistant (about a block in either direction) between Cochon and Emeril's.
I feel like that happens a lot with Restaurant Wars - one side will be stacked with too many power-players and shoot themselves in the foot.
I love that this show has been on the air long enough that pop-up restaurants are now a thing that RW can take advantage of!
I am 100% rooting for Afghanimals or Tim and Marie at this point.
I'm pretty happy with Amy and Jason winning. And Travis is literally the worst.
It surprised me as to how much Marie grew on me at the end. She might be abrasive, but she was a freakin' fierce competitor. I liked Jason and Amy throughout the season so felt fine about them winning. They were a competent, nice couple, if a little bland. Travis and Nicole -- UGH.
Wow, Nicole just fell apart at the last few legs, and Travis was an asshole. Damn. I'm kinda surprised--you'd think as a doctor she'd be used to killer fatigue?? (Man, I didn't realize they had FIVE kids. Good grief. And now they all know their dad is an ass, and their mom is kind of a wet blanket)
I must agree that Marie grew on me as well. I think mostly because the bitchy gameplay is more appropriate as you get to the end...it was less appropriate earlier.
