Justin's best piece was the bottle dress (or whatever that was), I thought.
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Yes, I agree. I was really disappointed in Bradon's collection.
I loved every piece in Dom's collection (although I would ask that she start thinking about women who wear bras, because just about everything she had was backless)
I didn't like Alexandra's collection, although I appreciate that it was fashionable and well made. Just not my style.
Justin's was eh. But, Justin is eh. I think that he got to the finale because Tim used his save and they felt that needed to be justified. Tim would have been better off using it for Jeremy or Kate.
FINALLY caught up on last week's TAR (stupid having to take a flight on Sunday night screwed my whole TV-watching week!)
Don't do it. Don't get on a regional airline in a South American country when a million dollars is on the line." And Aerolineas Argentina? Oh, no.
HAH. I hadn't thought of it that way. But yeah, they just got screwed right left and center, and I felt so bad for them. I would've so rather seen them (and their Beekman boys references!) keep going.
IN other news, my roommate (well, she's not my roomie anymore, I guess! sniff) informed me the whole run of Amazing Race is available on Hulu Plus. I may have to get her login and catch up, since I only started watching two seasons ago!

I hope I'm not the only one hearing this in Wallace Shawn's voice?
No, you're not.
I know I certainly did when I wrote it!
Not now, you're not.

I wanna say broken test tubes? I agree. Even seeing it the last two episodes, it was stunning on the runway. I don't remember what Bradon's unconventional material was and even when they showed it I couldn't tell (and they didn't remind me, the way Dom did with hers). That was one of my favorites from his collection, too, whatever it was made of.
They freaked me out during the judging.
That was very misleading, the discussion they showed us. Way to build suspense, editors, I guess.
I expected more from Bradon. I liked all his pieces, I think, but I kept waiting for something as amazing as his best individual challenge work, and it never came.
Dom's collection definitely had the most wow for me. I love that Nina's only criticism was the order things walked down the runway (and she wasn't wrong about that). Totally deserved the win.
Alexandria's collection I liked more on seeing the whole thing together than seeing bits and pieces. I don't get that little pocket/fingerless glove detail, though.
I really wish they would quit with the "why do should you win?" BS. I hate that so so much.
No break before All-Stars! It's reunion show straight into meet the designers next week. Feels rushed.
Face Off - I might've liked the foundation challenge better than the spotlight this week? All the Grim Reapers were pretty great. Glad to see Roy get his mojo back, and glad Eddie is gone. I feel like he's been consistently not quite up to snuff pretty much the whole competition but every week someone else was more spectacularly bad so he got to stick around. Not this week!
Oh, I loved the little fingerless pocket detail - I stand with my hands like that anyway, and I thought it looked cool. I'd be pissed if there weren't also a real pocket though. I am like Nina in regards to pockets.
I fast-forward through the "Why should you win?" crap, ditto with the "Why should you go to the finale?" BS after the last challenge. Does anyone ever give an answer other than "This is my dream and I've worked really hard"?
I love that fingerless pocket detail, too.

I like it that way! No waiting, more Runway! Although I do hate that it's missing Tim Gunn.
