I think next week is the final performance show but not the finale but I could be totally making that up. I agree that the only one night thing is super confusing. It seems like they need one more performance night and then another week of voting and then a finale where the winners are crowned based on America's vote for their favorite guy and girl dancer.
Hayley and Paul/Contemporary/I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) – Dee Casprey always looks a little deranged. That was lovely, children. Just lovely. Paul has such a great movement quality in contemporary. It’s really kind of extraordinary. He’s really dancing down into the floor. And Hayley is a great technician. She’s kind of an empty vessel, but her technique is flawless. I’m loving all the experimentation with flexed feet going on from the choreographers this year. That was a gorgeous piece. I really felt it with the two of them. Gorgeous. JTF busting on Carly Rae Jepsen’s stint on the panel was golden. He’s such a lobster. Suck on it, Nigel. The flexed foot was genius. Mary is right that Paul is an amazing partner. He gives to his partner in the performance while also managing to involve the audience. That’s a rare gift for a dancer.
I think next week is the finale.
Huh. Yeah, then I don't know how that's working. I guess this is it and whoever doesn't get kicked off this week, then their votes will carry them to the title? They probably should have explained that more. People might vote differently if they knew that. I mean, I don't vote, but if I knew this vote was actually for who I wanted to win it all not just who I wanted to make the finals, I might vote differently. Especially if I'm a person who normally vote splits.
Amy and Fik Shun/Hip Hop/Lemme See/Usher feat. Rick Ross – So Fik gets his partner back from a very popular pairing and he gets to dance in his own style. Thumb on the scale much? They just don’t have sexy chemistry together. At all. It’s like watching two Mickey Mouse club kids trying to be sexy. It’s actually kind of uncomfortable. The dancing is fine, but the booty shorts and knee high boots and stripper moves just feel wrong. It’s like being in a strip club and then some 12 year olds come out and start twerking to Kidz Bop song. I actually thought Mary said “Dance is just your pole.” Did she say that? That would have been awesome but I’m pretty sure that’s not what she said.

So then there will be another week, and the winners will be announced, and everyone will dance?
I want Jasmine and Aaron to be a couple. No idea if that's even a possibility, but they just look so GOOD together.
