Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own

This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm willing to believe that unconventional materials look very different up close vs on TV, but still...they ALL looked arts-and-crafts-y to me. I was really surprised to hear Heidi say the judges were blown away.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

With the dried cranberries? I liked those details.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I liked the white set way better than the winners, and thought the actual winning dress was inches too short in the bodice. She couldn't stand up straight!

I was really surprised to hear Heidi say the judges were blown away.

I think it's just because everyone still remembers this and other unconventional fiascoes. But seriously, fabric from Mood from here on out, please??

I actually appreciate reading Tom & Lorenzo saying it was just Jeremy's turn to win. It somehow makes me feel better if no one thinks he won on the merits?? [link]

Because books.

I did think there was no way they would give it to Bradon again, because his win last week was so special.

The sparkly ones? (I loved that "Nina Garcia will say silver isn't a color" comment, that was funny) I thought they had the best treatment of the materials they used, but I didn't love the designs they made out of them.

I'm just meh on all of them, which seems like it ought to be better than hating some of them, but is less entertaining for me.

Is anyone else still watching Top Model? I saw the first couple episodes of this new season (boys vs girls!) and, well, it's not any better than I expected. Though watching for the non-modeling parts might be more fun than in seasons past. The modeling parts are RIDICULOUS. (Plus apparently all the guys have to do is stand there and smolder...the girls have to do a lot more booty tooching and all)

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I'm watching, meara. I hate the stupid house stuff and Tyra seems loonier than ever, but I'm kind of getting used to the new crew.

That vertical runway was insane!

My favorite episode is always the make overs. This was pretty painful watching the guys get waxed.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I saw the first Top Model with the boys and girls at the lingerie show ... I think it's gone beyond the level of insanity I can deal with. Although I would have liked to see the makeovers - the DRAMA!

And, for your amusement, I'm reading a tacky sf/romance book set in the future and someone plans to watch the 30-something season of So You Think You Can Dance.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Is there any blog with before/after make over pics? or the ANTM site, maybe. I'll check there.
