I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Also, I had no idea there was a real life Mrs. Fields.

Because books.

Really?!

The weird thing is I grew up with A&P but I haven't seen one around here for years.

To be fair, I barely know there is a Mrs. Fields brand, but I generally assume branded personalities are fictional.

I am under the impressions that A&P covers a much smaller area than they used to - I know we had them in Baton Rouge when I was a kid, but I don't think they are there anymore. So I start off nostalgic for them, but then that Cake song about the Alpha Beta parking lot horns in and all nostalgic retail musings eventually end up with K&B, I guess.

Moving on to Top Chef Masters. I don't think I know any of these chefs by name.

I don't know about the sous chef thing. I guess it makes sense, but I won't be watching the online competition and I hope that won't be like not doing my homework for this show.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

With you on the sous chef thing.

But, how many producers crapped their pants when David Burke ended up in the bottom three on the first ep? Meanwhile Baby Voltaggio gets a basket of carrots and raisins and pulls out a top three.

Yeah, that can't have been the plan. Though maybe they were all "Woo-hoo, America won't see that coming!"

Taking away their knives was one hell of an obstacle!

I kind of want to go sky-diving. But none of those dishes made me hungry, which surprises me. I wish they would recap what each chef made when they do the top 3 and bottom 3 critiques, I have no idea what one of the top dishes was.

Too bad about the oysters, that just seems unfortunate. At least he didn't have to pack his knives without using them, I guess.

Eta: I take that back about none of the dishes making me drool, the beet salad sounds really good.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

It's the older Voltaggio, no? The younger one won their season.

My local supermarket chain just got bought by Albertson's, speaking of supermarkets. I had just been wondering if there were national supermarkets, and I guess it turns out there are, they just have different names.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

SYTYCD: I thought the girls were especially good this week.

And I'm very relived about the eliminations. Sad t see them go, but there were better people who needed to stay.

Because books.

My thoughts, too, quester.

Supermarket Superstar - I was all excited about the Russian cuisine, but Ksenia's piroshki is not much like what my family makes and she says the word different - which most people do, but it still bums me out. I don't think I can root for her.
