So Levine had a mild hissy fit. I took it as such.
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Yeah, I can see why Adam was pissed. He lost 2/3 of his team last night and at the very least Judith should have stayed. I'm not much of a Sarah fan. I didn't have a problem with what he said, but he's crazy if he didn't think there would be a backlash. The open mike is not your friend.
I just went and rewatched what was shown here, and you don't hear Adam say anything specific--I suspect they must have cut that part.
Off to youtube!

Project Runway Teams: so, by the end I pretty much didn't care who won. The top three were all fine but no one made anything I was really in love with, so any outcome was all right with me. I did like the whole team set up for the season a lot more than I expected, somehow. It's interesting that Michelle and Patricia, who both really struggled with working in teams early on, ended up the top two.
I guess the Voice decided not to address the Adam Levin faux kerfluffle. Good on them.
I agree. I wish I liked the performances in general a bit more. I thought they way over-praised Amber for Patsy Cline. I love that song and I thought she ruined it.
J Freeze freestyles with Cyrus on Ellen! I just died of all the cute. He really has a lot of talent. Hope those parents nurture it correctly. SYTYCD, man. It really is the best thing ever.
The auditions tonight are breaking me, too. I just love watching these kids dance raw, so to speak. And Wayne Brady is adorable.
Random SYTYCD thoughts:
Pig girl was weird and jerky and struck me as very pageant-y. I wonder if it was the choreo, because I didn't see all of the "fantastic" technique. However, she was a scantily clad blonde, which often gets you to Vegas.
I wonder when people do these specialized dances (like the woman with the bowls), if they consider that that will be their style, and if they have to dance for their lives, they're stuck in that style.
I wish we could have seen the whole contemporary to "Poison"
God, I love the dance dads. Especially when their sons are the dancers.
I swear, Larry Boos was on pointe during his dance. And maybe he had his own issues, but it was nice that he withdrew to give his partner a better chance.
