SAD FACE.
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Sorry.
So he cheated on his first wife with his current wife. His current wife (supposedly) is mad at him for flirting (and perhaps more?) with an up and coming country artist on twitter.
He revels in his "bad boy" image, so perhaps it is artifice, but given their body language when they were performing together last week, I don't think all of it was artifice.
La la la, I can't hear you!
I take all this shit with a grain of salt.
Nooo, not on Miranda!
So I finally caught up on SYTYCD, yays! Lotta great stuff there, lotta mediocre stuff there. But enough so far to make me excited for the season.
And the Exorcist family! LOVE!
Nooo, not on Miranda!
This was my reaction. I don't watch The Voice, and I have always thought Blake Shelton was a bit of an ass. However, I really like Miranda Lambert.
OK, I am finally getting around to watching SYTYCD from last week...
Oh, and there is still a standing invitation for any LA reality TV denizens or people who happen to be in the LA area and want to watch SYTYCD at Casa Kat. The only requirements are a love of dance, hatred of NappyTab, comfort with imperious black cats and imperviousness to extremely yellow living room wall paint.
Oh man, that is one of the only sad things about not going to LA frequently for this job. Though I'll be going to Orange County on occasion. I'm willing to drive...
Bonebreaking is just gross. I mean, WTF. WHY did this become a thing?!?
Emilio/Milli – I believe it’s Milli as in Lil Wayne/A Milli, not Thoroughly Modern, but the fact that the Broadway show was JTF’s reference point has just endeared him to me even more
Totally made me laugh and laugh.
I don't know what is up with Mary's hair. Jesus.
I’m anti sob story, but I admit that dance dads supporting their dance sons always get to me a little because it’s an uphill battle in this society for boys in dance, especially for black kids. So yay, dance dads and sons! Oh, but I still don’t care about all the lost your house had to take a bano Maria in the dance studio sink back story. Luckily, Donovan can break it the hell on down, though, so good on you parents for that one. I loved this kid. His whole LXD style, lyrical b-boy thing was a giant yes for me. We want more. We want more. Also, dad is fire. Holy moly. They should both go to Vegas.
Yes. Loved it, loved the dad even more.
In Russian years. I suspect you have to add 7-10 to calculate what that would be in American years
HAHAHAH! OMG so true.
I love that he kept his clothes on and yet still delivered on all the bone breaking moves. I love that he chose such a delicate piece of music to dance to.
Yes. I am willing to make an exception for the bonebreaking for him, because he was good in OTHER ways too.
nfortunately for this little one, her back story is better than her dancing.
There was something I liked about her, but yeah, some of it was bad choreo and wobbling.
Nick. Miss Debbie Allen is going to love him. Loooove him
OMG true. Also, that handstand thing was awesome. I don't even like boys, but some of that body is just DAMN.
I pretty much nominate Miss Debbie Allen for everything
So, I have to share that the girl I'm seeing, I met at karaoke, but I knew she was flirting with me when she taught me how to do...the Wobble. Which makes me laugh and laugh and think of SYTYCD.
Exorcist 4 year old is way better than the other 4 year old.
Bonebreaking is just gross. I mean, WTF. WHY did this become a thing?!?
My question also.
Miranda is a firecracker and I hope that if Blake really is cheating on her, she enacts choice scenes from her country classic Kerosene in real life. Boo Blake! I didn't care much for the song choices on last night's show. #thatpower, Judith? Really? Anything with will.i.am and the Biebs is automatically 90% garbage. I give them 10% because some Black Eyed Peas songs are just undeniably catchy and Biebs has a monkey so I can't totally hate on him. I didn't think Sasha's song suited her voice and she was pitchy on a lot of it, pretty much every time she wasn't singing like she was starring in her own version of Les Mis in her mind. I love Michelle and the whole Michelle/Usher lovefest they got going on but that is one of my least favorite Bruno Mars songs. Still, she did a great job and was probably tops on the night for me. I also enjoyed the Swon Brothers rendition of 7 Bridges Road even though there were some really funky timing issues (but I blame that on the stupid off rhythm clapping from the audience). I thought that was the best they've sounded on the whole show. Danielle is just too young for me to really be interested, though she has a lovely voice. When I was listening to her, I was thinking the whole time how I'd really rather be hearing Winona and Naomi sing that song. I don't think that's what I was supposed to be thinking. Amber singing Skyfall was fine, I just wish Adam would stop trying so hard to make her not be a country singer. She looked really uncomfortable all done up in Adele drag. Great voice though. I didn't care for either Holly or Sarah. I've liked Holly in the past, but that Band Perry song was done better by Janelle on AI only a few short weeks ago and I can't forget it. Sarah's voice is just not for me. You say "interesting breaks", I say "tuneless nightmare". Let's call the whole thing off. Oh, and that Goyte song is played out.
Baby Usher shutting it down in a 'fro and red kicks killed me dead. As my mom says, that man foine.

Awww. A++ for the new girl! Anyone who likes Miss Debbie Allen and is a connoisseur of various line dances is OK in my book.
