Illyria: We cling to what is gone. Is there anything in this life but grief? Wesley: There's love. There's hope...for some. There's hope that you'll find something worthy...that your life will lead you to some joy...that after everything...you can still be surprised. Illyria: Is that enough? Is that enough to live on?

Because books.

Thanks. It was a little confusing because all of the tasks required both teammates.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

(I'm assuming there is a TAR rules reason that the other partner could not head in to town on her own.)

I bet it's because they just have the one camera and sound team. And who knows where the more interesting thing would have happened in that case!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

IIRC, there's a no-more-than-30-feet-apart rule for most stuff that isn't solo. Or 30 yards? Anyway, you're right, they're not allowed to be separated by much, I should have remembered that.

Is this the first time that teams have been caught by a local speed trap?

"We have trust issues." Mylar

I thought the non-rowing partner in the canoe task was there to be the goat wrangler so that the goats didn't jump out of the boat or otherwise get away during the trip upstream. I didn't see anything to tie them up with or otherwise incapacitate them, but I could've totally made that up because they really didn't explain that part very well.

I can't believe Pam and Winnie Bald Snarked that detour not once but twice. I would've never picked the task with the donkeys anyway because of extreme fears of broken ox syndrome but once you've picked it, you just gotta stick with it. Even if the other teams beat them, that still would've put them only fourth instead of the last that they wound up getting. And all the other teams got their donkeys moving by basically screaming at them, but Pam and Winnie didn't even try that. It was weird. I'm gonna chalk it up to a massive case of killer fatigue.

I bet those traffic cops were loving the silly Americans who kept running through their speed trap.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I am watching a little bit of The Voice because I've been packing, and it's constantly on. No one should ever try to cover Nina Simone, let alone "Feelin' Good."

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

It's Chuck, not Matt, that is Winona's mullet-y husband, right?

That episode of TAR had me laughing a lot. Also! Baby goats! Omg, adorbs.

I'm pretty sure that dude on The Voice was covering the Buble version of Feeling Good, not the Nina Simone version. Not very well, no matter which version he chose. I was glad nobody picked him.

The only people who stood out for me last night in a good way were the country girl who sang Dylan by way of Garth Brooks and blew the doors off and the nerdy girl who sang Katy Perry. Everybody else, eh . . . I was unimpressed.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I really liked the nerdy girl, but I am afraid she might have turned herself into a red shirt by choosing Usher.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm just watching last night's show, and I'm impressed when the coaches recognize people who have tried out before. I mean, they must see a ton of people! Unless they get prepped about returnees coming on, which is of course possible.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

And all the other teams got their donkeys moving by basically screaming at them, but Pam and Winnie didn't even try that. It was weird. I'm gonna chalk it up to a massive case of killer fatigue.

I'm watching the ep with my kids right now and am happy to report that my two year-old is very happily yelling at the donkeys along with the contestants. She is marching around the coffee table shouting "HEY DONKEYS! HELP! HEY DONKEYS, ARE YOU AROUND HERE! HELP!"
