Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Wait, off that it says Cat Deely got MARRIED! To some guy I've never heard of (whom she's known for 10 years, they cohosted some show together.)

It's like she has this whole life we don't know about!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Wow, the bottom three looks on Face Off are pretty bad. But the top three are really cool.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Did anyone else watch The Taste?

I am still on the fence about it, but I love Nigella and Anthony, so I am in for at least for now.

Because books.

I did. I thought it was interesting that Malarkey and Ludo are both practicing chefs, and they chose contestants much more readily than Nigella and Anthony did. I also think it was a little weirdly coincidental that all of Anthony's picks were pretty women.

What I like about it is that the "taste" will continue to be blind. On the Voice, as soon as the audition rounds are over, there's nothing at all blind about the competition. But here, they could wind up voting off chefs from their own teams.

Also, I'll watch Nigella do just about anything, so I'm in for a while.

Thrive to spite them

I'm watching it right now on Hulu. I was glad when Chef Kaz Awesome annoying was gone right off the bat.

I also like it that it will be blind the whole way through.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Gina Torres was on Tuesday's episode of The Chew looking amazing. It was very entertaining and worth tracking down online.

I wish Top Chef did more (or any) blind tasting.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

Ugh. The new judges on AI are killing me softly. I might almost like Keith Urban if he could ever get a word in edgewise (and step away from the flat iron - seriously) and Mimi clearly taught Mrs. O all about the side eye in prep for her recent encounter with that crazy orange man, but Niki Minaj? I refuse. She is worse than Judge #4 ever was living her "It's all about me" moment. I want to choke her with that cotton candy wig. Why doesn't she know that nobody who watches this show gives a shit about the judges really. We only ever liked Simon because he said the stuff that we were screaming at the TV from our couches. And we only ever liked Paula because she was drunk off her ass and drunk people are often funny. And nobody ever has liked Randy, so there you go. I don't think I can take Minaj making people dance for her all season while unleashing the Madonna faux-british accent and giving people wholly unoriginal nicknames. Boo.

Oh, and all the kids are just a blur for me now of verbal tics, tragic hair and skin that is not ready for high definition TV. 12 seasons. Sheesh. I do remember that I haven't been all that impressed with anyone that they are trying to build "moments" for thus far. And yet? I still won't stop watching.

On the Taste - one of the professional chefs that was cut the "Dumpling Diva" was on Chopped and I'm pretty sure she got cut the first round of Chopped.
