FInally watched Sunday's Amazing Race. Man, that's just craziness, the reversals and drama. Kinda sad, because I really liked the rockers. And count me in worried about James' ankle.
I was surprised at how much cooperation was happening--between the Chippendales and the Texans, and the Beekman Boys and...uh...Abby and what's his face. Who I both felt bad for and wanted to smack, watching the time zone challenge. God, so glad I wasn't her (I would've not been able to keep my mouth shut), but at the same time, how frustrating must that have been for him?
Yeah, all of that, meara.
Does anyone know if they announce the saved people according to number of votes?
I'm sure they don't.
The Voice:
I think they announce based on how much drama is going to be created. I know I assumed that Cody was toast (though I'm glad he's not). It was crazy tense when so many supposed favorites were left and there were like only three slots to go.
I am living for Nicholas and Amanda but I've watched enough Idol to have a hunch that neither one will win. I think it's Cassidee's to lose, or maybe Dez. Speaking of him, is he X-tina's last contestant standing? Man, she really assembled a terrible team. Too many mini-X-tina's.
Top Chef:
I haven't watched faithfully in a couple of seasons, but I'm really enjoying Seattle so far. The screaming cook lady would probably be ridiculously terrible to deal with in real life but she makes for great TV. At the very least, it seems like she can actually cook which somewhat offsets the larger than life personality.
Speaking of him, is he X-tina's last contestant standing?
Yep, she only has the one contestant left. Blake and Adam each have two left, and CeeLo has all three of his still there.
Thinking about Top Chef, I've decided maybe Tom's try-out thing could actually have been the easiest one, depending on your background. It was more about fitting into his system, and working in a team, as opposed to the others where you had to conceptualize and cook something all on your own. If your mind blanks out, maybe you can't come up with a good soup, but you can probably still cook a piece of fish. I mean, assuming you ever had that skill.
I think you were also less likely to get booted for being out cooked. It felt more sink or swim on your own merits.
Did we know that Twitch and Allison Holker are together??
Whoa, according to this so are LoFro and DOMINIC. WTF? [link]
Aw, this interview with Twitch and Allison is adorable. [link]
I did not know that! How interesting.
I feel vaguely bad that I don't even remember who some of the people listed are.
