This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Victoria annoyed the crap out of me, but mostly I wanted her to be forced to be away from her family and de-indoctrinated from the cray-cray.
Kristen was also awful. I mean, jeez. I can only hope that someday she looks back and is like "OMG, I am so embarassed at how I acted"
Though reality shows at least address the issue I often have in fiction with villains--in scripted shows and books and things, so often there's someone being extremely mean and awful and no one looks at them and says "OMG, what the hell kind of question is that? Why are you being such a cunt?" (though I was surprised with a recent episode of Glee, where basically that was said). But in reality tv it totally goes there (and then drama ensues, but)
I know I didn't vote so I shouldn't complain, BUT: I would totally have gotten rid of Melanie and Sylvia on the Voice, in favor of the two who got cut.
Wait, what? Wednesday was the second week of the new season of Top Chef?? I had no idea! I guess I don't watch that show anymore.... [link]
I didn't know that either!
I guess because right now - not watching enything on Bravo.
I think it was the first real episode - I haven't caught up yet, but it looked like the season premiere was a special one-off thing.
The premiere was the judges testing the various chefs before allowing them into the actual competition. It's a very interesting season so far.
Yeah, it was an interesting approach. The out-of-the-gate eliminations about about the one good thing that came out of TC Texas.
Alton Brown is going to be on tonight's Mythbusters.
OK, I'm only up to the classroom portion, but I think Jaymes might be my favorite racer ever.
And the professor may be my favorite local.
But also seriously, is this the craziest series of events to happen on a race ever? More than one team so far behind for so long?
Actually getting your stuff STOLEN by a taxi driver was a race first, I'm sure.
I'm glad somebody went to the cocktail party -- those local actors were having a blast. Not to mention the 'professor' at the Agricultural school.
Count me worried about James/Jaymes' ankle -- it's only going to get worse from here.
