"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, it's a weird competition to have America pick the winner, because we can't walk up on the platform and look at the makeup. It'd be like America choosing the winner of a food contest. Until I get what I was promised and they can shove the food through my television, it would make no sense.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Did they even do the close-up examination of the final make-ups? I don't remember it. That choreographed stunt fight was pretty cool, though.

I would have been okay with any of the final three winning, so I'm not bothered by America choosing who it was, but in principal I agree that it's a little weird. OTOH, I was thinking while I was watching that it's nice for Face Off that effects makeup is generally meant to be filmed so what we see on TV is kind of a good representation of how well it's working - unlike how sometimes on PR we'll be told that a dress is gorgeous in person but it doesn't come across well onscreen. So maybe I am kind of okay with America picking the winner? I love the technical critiques, though.

I had time today to catch up on PR:All Stars, and I agree with y'all on Ivy's dress. I don't think I ever like that style. I had forgotten about Suede talking about himself in the third person. I'm glad my boy Anthony won the first challenge - BR represent!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

They definitely didn't inspect them afterward, which I would have been interested in -- did they all hold up equally well in motion?

Yeah, that's a good point.

On The Voice, do we think Mackenzie actually likes these songs the best? I kind of think he's consciously going after the teenybopper vote, but wonder what he does on his own.

Also, why is it still fun to watch when Trevin is going to win? Because I think it is.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

ARGH My DVR thought the Voice ended at 9:00, and I didn't notice it until 9:15 or so.

I just saw Feb. 7th as Community's return date. Sorry if that's repeat info. February feels very far away.

Am shocked and sad about De'Borah! Otherwise, I think I feel OK about America's + the coaches' choices.
