Survivor: Enjoying this season so far. I am really liking Malcolm. And I was totally surprised by Peter's masterful clue-plant. Abi is a total loose cannon, but fun to watch. I find Lisa W. a simp and don't understand why she isn't playing the TV star card for all it's worth.
Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
I like Denise a lot too, particularly for her attitude. In the first ep I think she said something like "whether I belive in god or not, I'm pretty sure he's not going to reach down and win these challenges for us. Instead I will try harder" or some such. [Not that that's really working out so well.] And "There's three of us. My alliance may or may not hold but it's not some grand betrayal if it doesn't." I just wish I thought she was going to get far enough to expose more than like three people to this radical thinking.
Yeah, she seems to actually understand that it's a game and have a wise attitude about it. I also love how she goes so all-in in challenges. Kick-ass older woman FTW.
TAR: Two annoying chicks gone.
Still liking the N&N Team Sri Lanka. Also they don't complain when native people don't speak English.
Omg yes. I was like "seriously? How many seasons into this and you're bitching they don't speak English??"
Yeah.
"This guy from whatever country we are in didn't even speak English!!"
Seriously, though.
Yeah, the whole shrill shrieking at nationals in English thing is not improving our American tourism image.
Whoa, I just learned that Blair from Facts of Life is on Survivor, and apparently nobody recognizes her? I feel like in learning this now, I am letting down the reality tv world. I should have heard earlier!
One of the "old" players recognized her, but hasn't outed her yet.
