I know, right? but they always have some strong and some weak so they can set up the strong ones for the battle.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Man, I really really hope Chehon and Eliana win this thing, although Tiffany really is great. Cyrus, pfft.

I love Cyrus. I think that he has progressed in LEGIONS this season. He has become a tremendous partner, and his skill in picking up choreography is amazing. He is what they pretended Joshua was, a true "street" dancer who has so much talent that he overcomes.

However, I have to agree with Nigel, other dancers are stronger. I do also have to say that I'm not sure that Cheon was the strongest male dancer. Best abs, yes. Strongest dancer? Maybe not.

Cyrus may have made lots of progress, but I think he's an awkward partner at best and the choreographers have totally had to work around him all season. And, mysteriously, he had the most limited range of styles. Not that Chehon is the strongest of the bunch, mind.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Everyone really brought their A games tonight! I even liked the Tyce number. That hardly ever happens.

It was good. So annoyed I forgot it was on Tuesday and set the dvr to record PBS. And I missed the first half hour!

I'm impressed that Chehon got around/through the "arrogant" charge that has attached to previous fancy/skilled dancers. But is that just because he's not black? Now I'm wondering.

I would argue that Chehon reads as black - or, at least biracial, which in the US generally codes as black (just ask Barack!) I think, actually, his accent helps, though - we accept fanciness in Europeans that we would scorn in Americans. Also, he comes across as kind of doofy - very pretty, technically accomplished, but doofy. Danny was not so warm or outgoing, which helps fuel charges of arrogance.

yeah, but too often in the US light-skinned is better than being dark skinned. and this is within the Black community sometimes.

yes, that he is "foreign" and light skinned helps. Danny didn't have a chance with Mia fucking with him at every turn.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Oh! I just found out that the guy that's directing the film we were a part of on tour knows Eliana! So double incentive to root for her!
