I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

She's trying really hard to be outrageous, but some of her clothes are cute.

Because books.

Looks like this season is certainly not going to be boring.

I get why they Kooan was safe, given Lantie and Beatrice's work, but I can't imagine how far he's going to get. Who's his customer? That's a pretty small niche.

I would have sent Lantie home over Beatrice, just because that beige lace dress was completely hideous. But I wonder if Beatrice is relieved -- how did she not know she needed decent sewing skills for this show?

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

Same here. That ugly tulle-ish material with the python *crookedly* sewn on bodice - blech. I thought it looked way worse than Beatrice's, which was mostly unobjectionable.

I hated that guy (Gunner? Gunnar? Something like that) who got sent home first last year then kept bitching about the winning designer in what came across like jealous snits. What an unpleasant little shit. I hope he gets sent home soon.

Ven's stuff is GORGEOUS but that pink dress was a bit sedate. I did love that bustier though.

I think Christopher is going to have a hard time in future challenges, just looking at how much better made his first look was compared to the companion piece. I am so sick of Gunnar's sniping already.

Loved Ven's stuff. OMG, so gorgeous.

I don't understand Kooan's POV, but that kind of draws me in, like if I see more maybe I'll get it? We'll see. I suspect Lantie is going to crash as soon as she tries to make something that doesn't have snakeskin tacked on. Beatrice did seem like she was already in over her head as soon as the challenge started.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

But I wonder if Beatrice is relieved -- how did she not know she needed decent sewing skills for this show?

Yeah, that was completely ridiculous.

(Gunner? Gunnar? Something like that)

GUNNAR DEATH-RAGE. OK, it's actually Deatherage, and probably closer to "dether-edge," but STILL.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

Well, Anya won last year not knowing how to sew, so she probably decoded to go for it. You know what would be interesting? A PR show where you have an equal number of designers and constructionists (is that a word?), and they have to work together to make garments. Call it Project Runway: Partners

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Anya largely designed around that, though (while cadging some assistance here and there where needed). She didn't come in to it shocked, shocked I tell you that it might even be an issue.

Yeah, I think Anya thought she knew how to sew well enough when she got there (even if she was wrong/right).

Because books.

I agree with brenda that Anya knew her limitations, but I also think she was more confident about getting it done anyway. Beatrice said it took four days to make the dress she presented from home, and that's not a great sign. It wasn't a terribly complicated piece.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

t has never watched Project Runway, but keeps meaning to

Wait, the show has participants that CAN'T SEW?! How? How the hell did they get through the selection process? Do they hotglue everything together?

t / will eventually succumb and watch the show
