I could get channels over the air, if I bought a digital converter box for my 20 year old TV. Or bought a new digital TV. And we haven't been able to decide which we want to do since about November.
We watch so little broadcast TV that it's not a big issue for us, except for SYTYCD. And the looming Olympics, but a lot of that will be streaming this year.
Does anyone else watch the Discovery series Auction Kings?
My bank account is very very lucky I don't live in Atlanta, and as it is, I already know that there is an auction the day before my birthday, and I was thinking about taking a trip somewhere this year.
The Great Escape: just finished watching the first episode: love.
Set up to record the next one - I was a bit confuse when Tivo identified it as "103" but apparently it is actually the second episode.
I love how puzzleriffic it is.
Oh, my god, this woman on What Not To Wear is so irritating. I hope the haircut makes her cry.
Wow, she's so unhappy that they're offering her her original wardrobe back.
Really?!?! I didn't know they ever did that. Not sure if I want to catch that episode. Sounds like a train wreak.
She decided to keep the new wardrobe because she didn't want to disappoint her daughters. And it seems to have worked out okay, but man, I've never seen anyone made that unhappy by pretty clothes.
I really liked the woman with leg braces last week. She seemed smart and game to try new things even though she was battling a lot of body image demons.
I just saw that What Not to Wear episode this morning and I wanted to smack that woman repeatedly with some of those hideous pink pants. Stacy and Clinton have way more patience than I would have. That said, I didn't think she really looked all that great in any of the new clothes, but I think that's just because they could never get a read on what her style goals were beyond "Don't look old" which, you know, not really a style.
I try to watch it every once in a while, but I just get so angry. I want that done for me, but, you know, without the trauma. I am trying to improve my wardrobe, but every time I step more conservative, I get all miserable and cranky. I need to figure out a way to make my existing wardrobe more flattering.
I bought a fabulous dress at the Ann Taylor outlet, though. It's b/w stripey, but looks like a normal person's dress. Okay, well, it looks like a very unusual normal person's dress. But I love it. And I got a pair of cargo pants for 7 dollars. I need to go back and see if I can buy out the rest of their stock in my size, because honestly, that's what I wear.
