I can believe that hair extensions cost $500. Years ago, just braiding my hair with the good fake hair would cost $200. That was around 1999 and not an urban area.

Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
I totally believe $500, and I totally understand being worried about looking heinous for the rest of the show, immortalized on TV forever!
That said, I'd still freaking DO it. I can see pausing for a sec and being all "Ooof"...but then you go ahead. For a million dollars (also, she already won Big Brother, she can afford new hair extensions!) Hair grows back. They're not asking you to do something damaging to your health there (like, say, dancing around in hot sun for six hours)
I found her rant about her ugly nose and her being fat kind of odd. I'm wondering how much of that is flack she got during/after Big Brother. I mean, sure, I know that I have my issues, but I wouldn't say them out loud on national TV, and I've never noticed her nose being big OR her being fat! I mean, she's not skinny, but I'd never have thought to describe her even as "plump" or something. So weird.
I suspect her issues have issues.
My feeling is...they're extensions! It's not like it's even your own hair you actually spent time growing, you know? Just get new extensions with your million dollars!
Re: The Voice -- I can't possibly be the only person who thinks that Lindsey Pavao is boring as hell, can I? And that when she sings in the big group numbers she sucks all the energy and momentum out of the songs as soon as she opens her mouth? It's not that I don't think that there are a multitude of problems with Chris Mann's performances, but at least I was able to remember his name from week to week.
The final 4 will be really interesting. I almost feel like I can predict who will go through for each judge.
Do eet!
I say: Chris Mann, Erin, Katrina. But I have no idea Jamar or Juliet, and I'm not even sure which one I want. Guess I'd have to go with Juliet though I like Jamar.
I could see it coming down to Chris and Juliet, in which case I'd give the whole shebang to Juliet. I dunno how the final four format works, though.
Catching up on ANTM and, man, Eboni? Looks a lot like season 2 RuPaul's Drag Race winner Tyra Sanchez.
Speaking of Drag Race, I am VERY pleased with last night's result. Happy Halloween!
SO pleased with Drag Race! Of course I got spoiled before I could watch it tonight, but no big.
In The Voice news, I just love the good feeling about this show. It's like SYTYCD in that way -- it feels like there are a lot of people who really like each other. And I like that!
Also, my local news has James Massone tonight. Little noodle.
