I'm about three episodes behind on The Voice, but I find if I dont' watch them in person I tend not to catch up, so we'll see...I didn't really have any big favorites this year, unlike last year (too many people this year, no way to keep them straight!)

Trust my rage

I like to have The Voice on in the background and yeah, I don't catch up. I only saw the first hour and only liked Chris Mann.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yeah, I sort of thought everyone was just fine.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I thought the very last song was pretty good, but other than that only one or two of them held my attention for more than 30 seconds.

Because books.

I liked Ashley a lot, and the girl who sang the Stevie Wonder song (although I think another song would have suited her better).

Art Crawl!!!

Mondo won - and I like Mondo and think he definitely should have won his season but I think that Austin's collection was more interesting this time.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I actually had really detailed The Voice thoughts, but left for work at 6 this morning, and just got back from another work-related errand about two hours ago.

And since then there's been the elim! Woes Moses! I knew I should have voted. But I was trying to decide my commitment to a new show.

I didn't realize there'd be two elims each. The others I was all ok with.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

I totally guessed 3 out of 4 elims wrong.

I didn't see them perform, but I don't get Blake's choice at all. Naia and Charlotte were his most interesting singers. The others are so generic.

As much as I would have liked to see Sera stay, Christina put together a great team and that choice was going to be hard regardless.

I liked the "audience saves 3, coach saves 1" concept.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Blake makes the worst choices of any coach. That was true last season and it is true now.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

Buffistas! Why is Ryan wearing so much lipstick?

Also, Blake makes terrible choices on The Voice. Jordis? Really?

Seriously, Ryan is wearing so much make up.

DeAndre singing Debarge. Hmmmm. Well, who doesn't like I Like It? Still, this kid is no El Debarge.

Why is Tony from No Doubt soooo tan? What is going on with the male grooming on this show? It's wrong.

Yeah, I don't get the DeAndre-ness of it all. He reminds me of a charisma-less Terrence Trent D'Arby.

Oh, Elise looks like she just got up from the bed, wrapped her torso in her satin sheet and stuffed it into a long black skirt. Yuck. That one sleeve is out of control. I thought she sang her butt off on I Wanna Know What Love Is, though I also did not enjoy the performance. However, JLo wouldn't know perfect pitch from a hole in the ground. The judges just want her off because she's old.

I would be so, so happy if Skylar and the hair kid were really going to sing Kenny and Dolly's Islands in the Stream. Sadly, I doubt that will be the case.

Oh, my word. They are actually singing it! Except Skylar is too all nasally up in her nasal (Still miss Paula) and hair boy is just annoying so it's not nearly as enjoyable as it should be. And I can't believe they're not letting them sing the "From one lover to another" line a week after they let Elise sing Whole Lotta Love. Really, Idol? Really?

Hmmm. I just do not get the Phil Phillips thing at all. I mean, conceptually, I get the whole Dave Matthews-y thing that he does, but tonight he sounded like ass AND he didn't know the lyrics. No. Don't mumble your way through the words, forget lyrics and go off key (Thank you for at least one moment of honesty, JLo).

Randy, white tie and red shirt with balloons on it? Jank.
