Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Still enjoying Ne-Yo on the Voice! Seriously, is there an artist whose personal image is not improved by this show? I also kind of adore Robin Thicke now.

But that "blue-eyed soul" kid better learn his Hall & Oates!

Also, I was kind of devestated by the final elimination. I seem to be acquiring a thing for beards? I mean, I also preferred his performance, but also that.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I am not watching the show, but given that Darryl Hall is the person that INSPIRED the phrase "blue eyed soul", somebody better recognize!

Because books.

I thought that was Van Morrison.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Also, I was kind of devestated by the final elimination. I seem to be acquiring a thing for beards? I mean, I also preferred his performance, but also that.

I was kind of torn on that one. I thought they both did a good job, and I liked both of them.

So many of the battles were tough calls.

My thoughts here.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Elsewhere a friend of mine was talking about TAR, and points out that while we've had contestants who couldn't swim, or couldn't climb, or couldn't drive stick, we've now had one that can't ride in the back seat without vomiting.

(Which is a real thing for some people -- as long as they're in the front, preferably driving they're fine because it doesn't trigger their balance reflex as much. Cab rides aren't much fun in their universe. At least the team handled it with some grace (although laughing hysterically isn't necessarily recommended for most teams, it seems to have worked for them.))

How much do I love the Kentucky boys? They are awesome.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I know! They're real troopers. Although the "Is Azerbaijan in Africa" bit was a little worrisome.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Theo,

I am not watching TAR this season, but I get really car sick. It is probably my main problem with doing TAR. I can deal with it through accupressure wrist bands and by not reading in the car, but if I read in the car, and if the car sways a lot, I am doomed.
