I don't know what I missed with that Sinatra number last night, but I thought that they wrecked a gorgeous song. I really hated that arrangement, and when the judges were plotzing over it, I was flabbergasted.
Delilah was really lucky that Kinship 9 screwed up last week, because I think that previous performance was the only thing that saved them last night. They completely missed on "Heat Wave," but their first song was really good.
And I cannot stand it when young singers start spouting off about not knowing any old songs. You've got the entirety of recorded song available online--if you've failed to listen to songs from previous decades, that's your fault and something you should have fixed years ago if you're planning on being a professional singer.

not to mention that most of the songs performed last night (from the '60s) have been sung by several different artists having several different interpretations. Listen to the original on youtube and then some variations and figure it out.

My favorite 60s songs from last night were the two that changed it up some, Afro Blue and Kinship 9. I liked the change in tempo that AB did, as well as turning it into their own song with their own flavor, and Kinship did a great job of turning "Let It Be" into a gospel song (loved Shawn's covered-mouth reaction at the end!).
