I think Anya's stuff is the best more often than the judges do and I'm not sure why.
So he's bothered by people, curves and color? That's pretty sad!
At least he was explicit about it?

Oh, I disagree! I think the shoes gave it an awesome pop, but the dress itself was so delicate and well made and elegant, and the lace was a really nice touch. Not as innovative as Anya's, but there was also nothing to criticize about it, whereas Anya's had the one-sleeve issue (which I can never make up my mind about -- I sort of get it, but it also always looks sort of dumb to me).
Also, there were a lot of comments about Anya's construction in the workroom and maybe that was more evident once they were standing on the runway.
Anya's is the dress I would want for myself, but I am okay with Josh's win because he responded so well to his client's taste.
Points to Amy's post ::nods::
I liked the top 3, and would have been happy if any of them won, but I really liked Josh's best for this challenge, which was more about working with a specific client and their needs/wants.
Oliver needs more maturity before heading out on his own I think.
I was in the book store this afternoon and spotted a book by Tim Gunn about manners and proper behavior. I didn't buy it, but I'm thinking about it ....
I have to give my love to Victor out of the top 3. I thought all of them were pretty spiffy, but I would wear every piece Victor made. That skirt was a little piece of heaven, and while I'm agnostic on the shades, the bag was killer. I liked Anya's and thought it was the most fashion forward, but I kind of can't get behind the Jane of the jungle one shoulder thing for me. It looked great on her real woman, though. I don't quibble with Josh for the win. It's hard to do simple and have it look that gorgeous, and doubly so for Josh whose aesthetic is so far from that.
I was shocked that Olivier's outfit came out looking as good as it did seeing as how he was such an incredible pill. I really liked the top and it was well fitted on his busty real woman model. And whatever the issue with the pants up the butt crack that was going on, he seems to have fixed it, although I always find his pants to be high water. Kim's taste issues were on full blast this episode. She's lucky Bryce put out that pepto bismol disaster and Bert had short, tight, shiny issues. I really didn't mind Anthony Ryan's look as much as the judges did. I'd actually have switched out his for Kim's. The skirt looked like dirty wadded up gum wrapper and it was too short again. Just like last week.
SYTYCD: Season 7 started on Ovation. Amazing how much I turned around on TBC. Her audition was so cheesy and bad and little girl, sleazy faux sexy. She got better quick.
That's pretty cool.
I agree with you, Kat. Loved Victor's look this week. I was annoyed that Josh won because I find him so annoying.
