Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
I think I had to check out early on Just Desserts last year because they had an actual crazy person (as opposed to a reality TV "crazy" person) on the show and it was just way too much. I'll give it a try tonight because what else is popping right now?
And I want to reach back in the way back machine to say that I am in awe of the knowledge dropped by megan walker about SYTYCD history with dance counts and just all sorts of fun stuff. Stupid work is keeping me from talking about what's really important in life: dance based reality shows! But I have been enjoying the commentary.
They ran a marathon of last season today, and I managed to be away from the TV when Seth actually broke down. I know it wasn't a put-on tantrum, but it was really hard to watch.
I'm going to watch tonight, though. There's nothing else on, and I love Gail and Johnny whatsisname, and I'm a sucker for cooking shows (and sweets) anyway.
Hansel and Gretel with no gingerbread?
Who does that?
No gingerbread house? I don't cook and even I knew that was a really bad idea.
Work of Art is coming back in October.
oooh. thanks for the news.
Big Brother, anyone? I am shocked!!
I don't watch Big Brother, but one of my friends was basically having a heart attack on Twitter the entire time. I take it it was bad?
Mostly surprising! And makes me want to stop watching.
