Non-Fiction TV: I Reject Your Reality and Substitute My Own
This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Okay, I agree Ryan needed to be gone, but Alexander? Why?! Ugh.
I don't know what it is, but I'm not a Ricky fan. He just seems sort of ... blank to me.
Not a Ricky fan, but he turned out the solo.
Yeah well, they did him a solid because he was paired with Ryan that whole time. He might leave next week, but they shouldn't have run him down all these weeks due to her lack of charisma.
Oh, I like Ricky so much! But we'll see what he looks like next to someone who's not a black hole.
I like Ricky a lot, though he is young. He's cute and bendy! Alexander just was sort of never really there as an emotional presence, although it might have showed less if he hadn't been next to Sasha.
I think Ricky can dance pretty well, especially that cha cha last night. And I didn't really loathe Ryan, so I'm not sure why he's just not really registering for me.
Maybe the new pairings will bring some interesting things. Although I am heartbroken to think of Melanie and Marko repartnered.
Mitchell's the one who I keep forgetting. I had to scroll up to find his name just now!
Nigel is smoking crack if he was not impressed with Sasha's solo. I mean WTF?
THIS. I thought her solo was AWESOME, and so much better than the usual "I will flail around and HMV and throw in a trick and hope it's awesome"
Alexander, well, sad, but I didn't really want any of those boys to go home, especially--I want to see Ricky get the chance to dance wiht someone besides Ryan.
SO EXCITED about getting rid of Ryan! I guess Nigel finally saw that America kept voting her into the b3 and wasn't going for it?
Very sad about and for Alex Wong. I have to wonder though--how is he going to support himself? I mean, that's now going to be almost two years he can't dance--does he have a disability insurance? His parents supporting him? A lot of money saved from his few seasons with the Miami Ballet?
Do professional dancers have a Union?
