Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I was kind of surprised by that decision - pleased, but a bit surprised.

And how much did I enjoy ... Christine? Kristin? ... swearing and slamming things around? (a lot)

megan,

Christina does not like Dia at.all. She has made all kinds of mean asides toward her for weeks. I wonder if Dia stole her man or something.

I'd be perfectly happy if any of the finalists on The Voice won, to be quite frank. I think my preference is for Beverly, but Dia is up there, too.

I think Dia has the most unique voice and style, but what has ultimately sold me on this show, despite various quibbles on format, is the fact that I don't hate any of the finalists. I'm not sure I've ever been able to say that about Idol.

My main quibble re: The Voice's format is that I think they should have more singing in a two-hour episode. Yesterday's finale was just about right with two songs per contestant. The Battle episodes just dragged with only four songs in two hours.

As much as I like all four finalists on The Voice, I was kind of underwhelmed by that finale. But I think that had to do with the lackluster nature of the original songs more than anything else. I quite liked all of the duets, although Javier/Adam was my least favorite because Adam can't really sing all that well which is always unfortunate. Of the original songs, Dia's was the best, I suppose. I wouldn't buy it, but I wouldn't change the station either if it came on. Javier's song was just blah, Bev's was bad and I don't even remember Vicci's so that can't be good. Still, I have really enjoyed this show, and the talent level is so much higher than on AI, it's kind of ridiculous.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I like the idea of the show as "giving talented people their last shot" in theory, and in fact! In addition to the young kids, of course.

On keeping the show fresh: “It’s really about the specific designers…. Of course, some seasons are better than others. One thing that’s stayed the same is that we eat a lot of Cheetos! We all have orange hands, though you can’t really tell on Michael, because it blends in with his tan.”

How did "The Voice" get Stevie Nicks?

Holy fuck. I think I shouted out when I saw her onstage.
