I caught up on youtube vids of the dances. The one for Jess and Clarice has the audio disabled due to copyright claim.
It's interesting to watch it without the sound. I don't know what it's like with the sound, but I couldn't get caught up in the music I could just watch it and Jess really really struggled. At times it looked like they were dancing two different pieces and he wasn't -flingy - enough for contemporary.
He had to performed better than that in Vegas, I can't imagine that kind of contemporary performance in Vegas week getting him through.
Does Tadd have ballroom experience? He certainly has a lot of general training.
I think it's an interesting conundrum they have put themselves in -- expecting people to be good at various things from the start, but still making them pretend to be just one style, and then you get shows like this, where everyone is pretty good, so who goes home? No one's a trainwreck. Maybe later?
Pssst, Mary -- If you are wearing so much make up that I can see the tear track through your face powder, you might want to dial it back a little.

I'm sad about Nick and Wadi. I would have been happy if either of them stayed (although I wanted them both!). I wasn't particularly enamored with Ricky, although he turned it out in his solo, I will admit.

Sasha/Alex, Caitlyn/Mitchell, and Wadi/Missy – Well, obviously it’s Wadi/Missy from this group. And of course it is. What is it with just sticking random bits of tulle onto your butt? Last week, Clarice. This week, Caitlyn. Um, no girls. No. But the other two couples are safe. Again, obviously. I think Sasha is totally carrying that partnership. If Alex makes it to top 10, I suspect he’ll be one of the first boys booted.
I know the judges will not save Wadi, not with two other b-boys as good as Chris and Tadd tearing it up and two other competent black male dancers in Ricky and Mitchell. Missy? I’m not sure. It’ll depend a lot on who else is down there with her.
Was it here that I heard that Lauren and Twitch are dating now? Wherever I heard it, shit's just wrong.
Miranda/Robert, Melanie/Marko - It’s crazy how much Missy was outdancing him in that number last night. At least he’s not wearing a Hulkamania T-shirt tonight. That was actually not a bad fake out from Cat because there was a chance that the woodpeckers could’ve wound up in the bottom.
Iveta/Nick and Tadd/Jordan – Clearly, it’s Nick and Iveta. Jordan looks like a slattern again. Scrape off 99% of that make up and put some clothes on your body. Wow, Nick and Iveta were damned with faint praise last night. Much like Sasha, I think Tad is totally carrying that pairing.
I cannot watch LMFAO. Not even for Qwest I don’t think. Not even for a Dom-less Qwest, and that is a lot of hate for LMFAO and their non-music frat boy party music.
Ashley/Chris, Ryan/Ricky, and Jess Clarice – Once again, the choice seems clear here. In fact, we have two clear B2 choices. Ashley really was kind of turning it out. I didn’t give her her proper due last night. And the hair is amazing tonight. Amazing. Wow. Ryan and Ricky in B3. Well done, American voting public and tweens the nation over.
B3: Wadi/Missy, Iveta/Nick, and Ricky/Ryan
Dammit! I would not like to lose either Nick or Ricky. If forced to choose, I’d jettison Ricky because I have a Mitchell already. But ain’t no way Nigel boots two black boys tonight, so I’m betting on Ricky to stay and send my pretty, tall, pale ass white boy home way to soon. Dammit. This would not be happening if Nigel had kicked Robert off last week as he should have because Wadi is the clear boot here.
For the girls, Iveta is toast out of this group. Especially if Nick goes. Who else would they even pair her with? He’s the only one that’s even a little bit credible as a partner for her. Between Missy and Ryan, the choice should clearly be Ryan, but Nigel has a hard on for the toothy blonde ones and the judges usually don’t split up couples this early on, so I think Missy is going to go home leaving me with Ryan still. Some more. Again, I say “Dammit”.
Kid dance troupe. The teeny girl in the middle is shutting it down. Not much else to be said.
Wadi/Pon de Floor – He’s spent his first couple of eight counts doing nothing. And then he crouched down and did more nothing. Wholly unimpressive b-boy set. Still just don’t get him at all.
Missy /Move – Nice flexed foot work. Interesting. There’s actual choreo, not just tricks. Though still too much hair flipping.
Nick/Follow Me Down – That turn sequence was sick. I just love this kid. He can tap his ass off.
Iveta/Samba Rock – She’s doing what she can to bring it but it’s just soo hard for ballroom kids to cut it in a DoD solo.
