This thread is for non-fiction TV, including but not limited to reality television (So You Think You Can Dance, Top Chef: Masters, Project Runway), documentaries (The History Channel, The Discovery Channel), and sundry (Expedition Africa, Mythbusters), et al. [NAFDA]
Not sure how non-fictional this is, but I've spotted some ads for a show that looks like it's imitating TAR; one of the quotes makes me laugh.
The scene - somewhere in a vast desert, several women are slogging through the sand. One says (in what sounds like a NJ accent), "We're in the Sahara. It's all sand, yo!"
That's the new one by Mark Burnett, but I can't remember the name.
Is that the dating one or something else?
Expedition Impossible?
The dating one is Love in the Wild.
Expedition Impossible. I just thought the comment was funny.
The Next Food Network Star: Wow, this season is so watch from the hall! I'm not sure I'm going to be able to stick with it.
SYTYCD: Jordon/Thad-Not a bad opening number. I like both of them.
I love Meagan Mullally but WTF is she doing here?
FYI, for people like me without TV, OMGdance has a ustream feed in their open threads. Ads, but better than waiting! [link]
Aww I missed Travis's piece.
But I've gotten so used to watching streaming where the same ads show over and over - sometimes only one or two ads per show, I'm kinda enjoying the variety of ads. Of course I'm not actually watching them but hey I can hear something different.
